Hi Lily! I'll take you up on your offee but will continue the review concerns in another messsage.

As for preffering science fiction and fantasy - right now it seems that I prefer to write fantasy but read and watch science fiction. I adore them both as genres and settings, but I find I am not in strong in writing hard science fiction.(less)

Narnia. Like, pre The Last Battle.

Not sure if I would be going on adventures with Reepicheep, or slumming it with Puddleglum, but the possibilities are endless. Five bucks says I get kicked out for bad behavior by Aslan Himself.

Does this mean I am going to get cast as some witch realm-hopping? I'd make a rather sub-par villain, if I do say so myself.(less)

Copycats and Copyrights

I was at a bookstore with my niece a few days ago looking at manga/graphic novels and I spotted a copy of Princess Gwenevere and the Jewel Riders. This was something that was age appropriate for my youngest sister when it premiered, so I knew what it was we watched it together because I taped it for her because it ran during church. My niece knew the name even though the art style looked different

C.S. Lewis
“When the time comes to you at which you will be forced at last to utter the speech which has lain at the center of your soul for years, which you have, all that time, idiot-like, been saying over and over, you'll not talk about the joy of words. I saw well why the gods do not speak to us openly, nor let us answer. Till that word can be dug out of us, why should they hear the babble that we think we mean? How can they meet us face to face till we have faces?”
C.S. Lewis, Till We Have Faces

“Some who have read the book, or at any rate have reviewed it, have found it boring, absurd, or contemptible, and I have no cause to complain, since I have similar opinions of their works, or of the kinds of writing that they evidently prefer.”
J.R.R. Tolkien, The Lord of the Rings
