This is an instance where I liked the concept more than the execution. JAPANESE GOTHIC is a weird paranormal fever dream with lots of potential. Unfortunately, I was never fully committed. My main issue was the characters. They aren’t well developed ( ...more |

Mum's The WordHi Darcia,
Thank you so much for joining friends with me on goodreads. I wondered if you had a moment if you might like to read my new exciting crime thriller? It would be a great honor.

Hope things are going well. I've gotten a busy schedule for the next few weeks, as baseball season began, the interest in "Three Strikes and You're Dead," has zoomed up. But to be sure, my wife's book club assured me that you don't have to be a baseball fan to enjoy the book.I like seeing it on your "to read' list and look forward to your review.
Sincerely, Mike

And I'm honored you found E&P a memorable read! Like you, I also tend to forget books soon after reading them. I like to blame it on the number of books I read, rather than the black hole in my memory! Now and then I read one that sticks with me long after I've read the last page, and I'm humbled you feel that way about one of mine.
Thank you for accepting my friend request - So far I have only read Enemies and Playmates but it was one of my most memorable 2012 reads (mainly because I tend to forget books as soon as I've read them, unless prompted; E&P I can actually remember of my own accord!). I'm really looking forward to reading more of your work and seeing from your reviews what kind of books you enjoy too!

Hi Darcia!Just saw our friend 'Sue' today and she kindly lent me your book "Emenies and Playmates" and am so looking forwarding to reading it! You just blow me away with your stories and I so love it when I win your books! (Haven't been lucky yet, but my fingers are crossed!) I tried for 'Into the Light" to no avail and 'The First Kill". Just wanted you to know that I'm still your most loyal fan. Have a great day. Carol
