Russell I wish I could delay my work projects 3-4 times past their initial estimates and just be like "life got in the way, yolo" to my boss and my customers and have some of them defend me. Must be nice.

Marouane J @Russel : THIS

Tria Well said, Mel. And Russell, we defend Scott because those of us who've bothered to find out what's causing the delays understand that he hasn't been well, and have sympathy. But it's already fairly clear that folk like yourself, Arthur, and Marouane don't bother with that. Have you ever thought that your behaviour might be worsening the situation, therefore further delaying the book? He can see what you say, so maybe try being less of a prat about it.

Russell I made this comment 5 years ago. If it's still deeply impacting his psyche, I suggest he seek serious mental health counseling.

Tria I believe he has been doing so. Chronic depression is a thing too, y'know? Sometimes therapy can make things worse before it helps one get better (I should know - I have PTSD). The pandemic probably hasn't helped either, be fair.

Russell For somebody so heavily critical of those who criticize Scott, you seem to do a significant amount of criticism and make a lot of demands (or retweet support for those who make a lot of demands) of others on your social media. You are the pot calling the kettle black. You so self righteous, it's nauseating. My opinion is my own, it's valid and I have every right to speak it in a public forum such as this.

Until you stop sharing your own negative opinions of others and stop making demands of others, don't expect others to do this for you, because "do as I say, not as I do" is never compelling, but on occasion "follow my example" is.

Raven If you want to be upset about an author not finishing a series. Fine. If your life has so much time for you to be drama kings and queens fine. Go yell on Twitter, not in the comments of my post.

message 8: by Raven (new)

Raven And yes, Marouane J, I deleted your rant. Please find somewhere else to flip out. Or good god, find another book to read. There are literally millions of authors. Why can't you read something else?

message 9: by Marouane (new)

Marouane J LOL delete all you want, please be my guest. That doesn't bother me at all lmfao And for the record, don't need your advice about reading, my library has plenty of books to last me a lifetime.
What i find amusing though is my comment was not even directed at you but i guess you can't handle some truth.. sad world of snowflakes.. anyway peace and prosper

Raven *Sighs* Please just go yell at each other in dm's and stop bringing drama to a comment that asked people to not be asshats.

Tria Russell, all I ask of people in general is to behave with compassion and decency toward others. Sometimes, clearly, that requires raising one's voice. Live with it. Go whine elsewhere and leave Mel alone already, both of you.
