Maturity. I read this in fifth grade and THAT was a downgrade for me. Amazing book though.
At least your primary concern is the violence. No one else seems to bat an eye at all the violence, but a mild sex scene with little detail comes up and suddenly it's not appropriate.
I just finished book 1 and wasn't too impressed but now I'm reading all these raving reviews about the second one but personal I'm concerned about the violence level (I'm an adult but don't like it when it gets too gruesome/bloody. Lets say I don't read many historian novels anymore for that reason. ). The first one was kind of on the edge for me. Now I wonder if I should even pick up the second one. Is the violence very detailed or not so bad?
