“Loving someone gives you courage; being loved back gives you strength. -Lao Tzu”

“The problem here is that you think love will take all the pain away, like it does for characters in a book. It's not that easy, Stephen, and not that simple; despite all your bards and how much we'd like that to be true. It isn't. Love isn't going to fix me, or you. It's not a laxative that just helps you shit out all the crap you'd rather forget.”

“How can the removal of beauty from a world so lacking in beauty be anything but tragic?”

“A great book should leave you with many experiences, and slightly exhausted at the end. You live several lives while reading.”

“There are only two tragedies in life: one is not getting what one wants, and the other is getting it.”

Thanks for connecting. Should have been sooner, my mistake, thought we were already connected here. L.C. wrote: "Hi, Brandon! Thanks for your friendvite. :-)"

Hi Brandon, thanks for the friendvite! That's awesome that half of your proceeds goes to charity. Thanks for your support of the group too. Anything you'd like to do to help would be great. :)

I know, you haven’t heard from me in a while. All I can say is WORK. It’s crazy right now. Someday I’ll sell a million books and be able to ‘retire’ and just write. However, that day doesn’t seem to be coming anytime soon, so I must continue at the heinous day job like everyone else.
