I've read several re-tellings of that one as well, and just loved them all!(less)

When I got to college, I kept up my independent reading, but got a degree in Children's Education. I found reading and studying literature very helpful, at all stages of my life!! Studying it as a youth, it expanded my dialogue greatly. I also learned so many things without realizing even realizing it, by osmosis, about the way stories are told, characters and their development, language use and flow, etc. (less)

“Nothing dies as beautifully as autumn.”
Ashlee Willis, A Wish Made of Glass

“In my world," said Posy, "authors write stories, and the characters do whatever the author tells them. It's not like this--the characters don't have minds and lives of their own."
"How do you know this?" was Caris' surprising reply. The corner of her mouth turned up in a playful smile. "You do not see the characters when the pages of the book are shut. Is there never a time when you read a book for the second time and you notice something that you didn't remember from the first time? Or hear a story told, and every time it is told it grows and changes in the telling? Change is the nature of everything.”
Ashlee Willis, The Word Changers

“Only the forest.” Blessing’s voice is dismissive.

“How can you say only the forest?” I ask, aghast. “No forest is only a forest.”
Ashlee Willis, A Wish Made of Glass

trust me this will put a smile on your face, make your day, or help you

Every night , someone thinks about you before they go to sleep,

At least fifteen people in this world love you.

The only reason someone would ever hate you is because they want to be just like you

There are at least two people in this world that would die for you

You mean the world to someone.

Someone that you don't even know exists loves you.

When you make the biggest mistake ever,
something good comes from it.

When you think the world has turned its back on you, take a look.

Always remember the compliments you've received.

Forget the rude remarks.

So if you are a loving friend, send this to everyone on your list including the person that sent
it to you.

God loves you so much that He sent his only Son to die on the cross for your sins!

Make Someone else's day! Help get a smile on someone's face! Help someone out! remember
that your loved
