“That’s harsh,” I muttered, putting my hands on my hips.
“The truth tends to be harsh,” Drake answered.
“Like the fact that your horns are cute?” I joked.
He pouted at me hating the notion of having ‘cute’ horns. In response, he jerked his head away agitated.
“Relax!” I said with a snicker, “it’s just a joke! I promise I won’t tease you about your cute little horns anymore! Ok?”

“I was finding it hard to keep a straight face while watching.” When Amon calmed himself down, he sighed a happy one before speaking again, “if only I had some popcorn.”
“I think I prefer Abigor stabbing me rather than your pleasantries,” I muttered in a low dull tone as I stare at him feeling uneased.
What I say is true. At least with Abigor, he is straight forward with his intentions. It is as clear as day, but everything about Amon is so… warped.
“Hmmm,” he hummed delightfully but curious, “are you sure about that?”
In the background, Abigor sneered surveying his perimeter while grumbling to himself.
From my firm glare, he lightly scoffed and continued to speak. “Now, now… I’m a fair guy. I would share the popcorn, I’m not that heartless,” Amon again cheerfully grinned.”

“My face twisted awkwardly “distract?” I repeated confused. “How am I meant to do that? It’s not like he’s going to sit around and wait, and I doubt I can call for a time out mid-fight.”
“Well, you can try fighting him directly again, but you didn’t do so well the first time.” Drake then looked me over up and down, “you could always try your womanly ways on him.”
More of a joke than a suggestion.
I narrowed my eyes at him, not amused with his jokes. “You want me to seduce that armoured demon with my womanly ways? I’m probably as seductive as a dirt-covered potato can get,” I muttered irritated. “What do you take me for anyway? I didn’t train for seven years for this, there’s no way I could do that, even if my life depended on it! I would never do something like that anyhow. It would be a new low in how pathetic I can look.”

“You make it sound like you’ve been drenched in blood before,” I stared particularly.
“I’m not going to lie about it. I have been,” he said uneased followed by a nervous laugh, “but I can assure you that there’s a good reason as to why I was.”
Now it’s my turn to let out a nervous and uncomfortable short laugh, “I don’t think there is ever a good time or reason to be drenched in blood Isaiah.”
“Point taken…”

“She just sent out the last group of demon grunts for the night,” he told us casually.
“Good,” Drake sighed getting up and dusting himself off.
Isaiah stared at him oddly and pointed, “what’s up with your face?”
“I don’t want to talk about it,” the one-eyed demon retorted. Already uptight by the presence of the black angel. Without more words to share, Drake passed him with a rough shove.”

“Staring blankly at the door that slammed onto the ground, the blood drained from my face. “Oh god! I didn’t mean to break that! It just fell over so… easily…” I panicked putting my hands on my head worried. “Err… do I put it back on? Oh god! Do I just leave it there?”
What the heck am I to do in this situation?
“Do I just kick it to the side and pretend nothing happened?” I asked as I look up.”
