“One of my former assistant pastors and his wife were on their way to visit their friends in another state. They were driving down the road when all of a sudden the Lord spoke to the wife and said, "Oh! By the way, when you get to your friend’s house, they are going to have a new refrigerator."
The wife heard this just as clear as could be, but she didn’t understand why God would tell her something like that. It seemed to be a revelation with no purpose, no usefulness. She had just had one of the clearest revelations in her life and she didn’t know what to do with it.
And so, she asked the Lord, “Lord, why would You tell me that? What am I supposed to do with that?”
The Lord’s reply really surprised her. He said, "You can’t do anything with it. I didn’t tell you that because I wanted you to do something. I talk with you because I like to. [...]”
