“The conscience can be “good” (1 Tim. 1:19), “clean” (2 Tim. 1:3), and “blameless” (Acts 24:16). But it can also be “weak” (1 Cor. 8:7–12), “defiled” (Titus 1:15), “evil” (Heb. 10:22), and even “seared,” which means it is completely insensitive to sin and unresponsive to the Holy Spirit’s promptings (1 Tim. 4:1–2).”

“Be kind to one another, tender-hearted, forgiving each other, just as God in Christ also has forgiven you.” You have that verse on your mind and in your heart as you encounter a coworker who is in a foul mood and very rude to you. Wanting to honor the Lord, you extend kindness to that person and discover his or her terrible attitude is due to difficulties he or she is carrying by him- or herself.”

“This is a topic that can haunt even the strongest heart. We think of the things we have done wrong throughout our lives and question if they have disqualified us from experiencing His best for us.”

“So don’t give up! Proverbs 24:16 instructs: “The godly may trip seven times, but they will get up again” (NLT). This is the difference between the godly and the lost, those who have faith and those who are faithless, those who have a true relationship with God and those who don’t—the ability to get up and get back on the altar. As someone who knows Jesus as your Savior, you always have Someone to help you up after you have fallen. You always have forgiveness. You always have hope for a good future. Therefore, get up and steady yourself on God Himself. Get back on the altar by realizing that Jesus never lets go of you (John 10:28–29). And take heart that His good, acceptable, and perfect will is not just within your reach, but He is working it out in your life as you trust Him.”

“says, “You will seek Me and find Me, when you search for Me with all your heart” (Jer. 29:13). Likewise,”

“Third, and finally, God’s will for you is perfect. When we read the word perfect, we may be daunted by thoughts of having to maintain a flawless walk with the Lord, but that is not what is intended by the word there. The Greek word teleios that is used is better translated as finished, brought to maturity, enabled to reach the goal, or needing nothing for completeness. Friend, the Father has no half-baked schemes—especially when it comes to your life. You may not know His full plan, but He does. In fact, He knows “the end from the beginning” (Isa. 46:10), and He can and will bring it to absolute completion. So there is never a need to worry about whether or not God’s plans will work out.”

“Second, the Lord’s plan for you is acceptable. It is both well pleasing to God but also satisfying to you. I believe this is an area where many believers struggle. We wrestle with how the Father views us and whether or not we are pursuing the best course of action in His sight. I have found this is especially true in Christians who grew up in very strict and/or critical households, who felt they could never meet the vague and unforgiving standards ever before them. If finding acceptance and worth is so difficult with people, how can we ever hope to measure up to God, Who is faultless in all His ways? But understand that the Lord receives you on the basis of what Jesus did on the cross. Once you have received Christ as your Savior, you are accepted before the Father forever. And because of the presence of the Holy Spirit in you and the Word of God to guide you, you can live in a manner well pleasing to the Lord. In fact, Philippians 2:13 asserts: “It is God who is at work in you, both to will and to work for His good pleasure.” The Father patiently teaches you how to walk with Him—leading you along the way. So not only is it possible to live in an acceptable manner before Him, but God is committed to helping you do so, too!”

“First, God’s will is good. The Lord’s plan is morally honorable, excellent, and beneficial to you. It may not always appear to be so at first. There have been times in my own life when I told the Father that the trials and pressures He was allowing seemed far from good. However, we always have to remember the promise of Romans 8:28: “We know that God causes all things to work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose.” The Father is very careful about what He permits to touch your life. Why? Because He Himself is good. Psalm 145:8–9 affirms, “The LORD is gracious and merciful; slow to anger and great in lovingkindness. The LORD is good to all.” Why would we ever expect the will of God to be anything other than good when both the nature and character of our heavenly Father are good?”
