She was completely absorbed in His beauty and His love and was always wanted to serve Him. In His presence, she felt His divinity and was ecstatically happy. But one day she got some pride and vanity because of her own beauty and service to Him and because He would not submit to her wishes she became arrogant towards Him and told Him that He should go and she would remain without Him. So He left her. She soon began to long for Him and could not stop thinking about Him, always thinking He would return to her, but He did not return. She became dejected and sat under a tree and she could only think about Him, thinking He would soon return to her. She remained sitting for a very long period, constantly thinking of Him, expecting that He would return to her at any moment. But He did not return. Months passed. Some villagers came to see her and saw that she was not breathing. They went and told Lord Krishna that she had died, that she was not breathing. But He only laughed and said, “Radha can’t die. She is completely transformed into Krishna. If you go to her and chant the name ‘Krishna’ in her ear, then you would find the real Radha.” They did it and found that Radha slowly rose and stood in that very pose. So you see, Radha was completely transformed into Krishna.”
