“With all due respect to both genders, and to those who have rightfully chosen to switch, I have only used the old-fashioned version of the third-person personal, possessive, and prepositional pronouns, “he”, “his”, and “him”, respectively, in this book and in those cases where no definite subject is intended. This was for ease of typing only (as I am not a speedy keyboard puncher) and also the fact that following the Old English style would be usually easier and more “automatic” for most of us. Bottom line: Strictly no ignorance or disrespect is intended.”
