The Last Thing On My Mind Sheet Music Quotes

“It's a lesson too late for the learning,
made of sand, made of sand.
In the wink of an eye my soul is turning,
in your hands, in your hands.
Are you going away, with no word of farewell,
will there be not a trace left behind?
I could of loved you better,
didn't mean to be unkind.
You know it was the last thing on my mind.”
― Tom Paxton, The Last Thing On My Mind Sheet Music

“A preacher will preach,
a teacher will teach,
a miner will dig in the mines.
I ride the rods, trusting in God,
Holding my bottle of wine.”
― Tom Paxton, The Last Thing On My Mind Sheet Music
