“I think I should leave town. Someone else can serve as Elliot’s best man. I don’t think I’m suited to the honor, anyway,” Robert quietly stated.
“That’s probably best,” Anna murmured. The two continued staring at each other, consumed with the presence of the other. “But, I don’t think I could bear that,” she added.
