Romans Commentary Quotes Showing 1-1 of 1
“The Biblical rule is simple. If any verse in either Testament does not contradict or deny something found in a Pauline epistle it CAN be applied to a New Testament Christian. Hundreds of verses (mainly in the Proverbs, Psalms, Job, and Exodus) can be found in the Old Testament that are applicable to Christian belief and conduct, but once a verse is pulled out of even Matthew, Mark, Luke, or John that contradicts a Pauline doctrinal statement—did you get what I said? I said a “doctrinal” statement; I did NOT say “an inspirational” statement or a “devotional teaching”—it is to be judged in the light of Paul’s advanced revelations which Jesus Christ Himself said would be advanced revelations not given to Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John. Don’t”
