“The body consists of material senses that have beginning and end. Therefore the Upaniñhads describe the Absolute Truth as beyond the material senses that are found in this material world. If God would have material senses, He would be similar to a common man. But He does have spiritual senses. The Çvetäçvatara Upaniñad clearly explains that the Absolute Truth has no material legs and hands but has spiritual hands. He has no material eyes, but He does have spiritual eyes that see all. He has no material ears, but He hears all, and, possesses all-perfect spiritual senses. “Without legs and hands, He moves and accepts. Without eyes He sees, and without ears He hears. He knows all that is knowable, but no one knows Him. They call Him the original Supreme Person [Çvetäçvatara Upaniñad 3.19]”. “Everywhere is His hands and legs, His eyes, heads and faces, and He have ears everywhere. In this way the Supersoul exists, pervading everything [Bg.13:14]”.”

“The followers of the Vedic sections that describe fruitive activities are totally unaware about the main problem of life which is death. Their activities are on the level of a beast, whose main hankerings are eating and sleeping. In a more advanced stage, there is awareness that this world of duality is composed of matter and spirit; that God is complete spirit without any tinge of the material qualities. In that stage there is a deep inclination to the spiritual. One cannot be saved from the cruel hands of death unless he knows what God is.”
Rasamandala Das, ISLAM And The VEDAS
“The Upaniñhads mark the beginning of the knowledge about God, whereas the Vedic portion dealing with fruitive activities teaches one how to fulfill his material desires by approaching different gods. The Upaniñhads that are one-hundred and eight Sanskrit treatises represent the beginning of the philosophy of the Vedic teaching. The word upa-niñat means “sit closely” and refers to the seeker of truth sitting closely beside his spiritual teacher in order to receive transcendental Vedic wisdom. The texts of the Upaniñhads teach the philosophy about the Absolute Truth, for those who are seeking immortality. Both the soul and God are immortal. Thus, the wisdom of the Upaniñhads clearly transcends the fruitive activity portions of the four Vedas. The religious aim is no longer the obtaining of earthly and heavenly happiness by worshipping the gods. The goal is the release from death by absorption in the Absolute Truth.”

“Heavenly enjoyment is by far inferior to the service of the Lord. Service to God is eternal and joyful, unless it becomes polluted when mixed with the desire to satisfy the senses.”
Rasamandala Das, ISLAM And The VEDAS
“An offence to the Lord’s devoted servants, the gods, is taken very seriously by the Lord. “Anyone who is an enemy to either God, or to His messengers and to His angels such as Gabriel and Michael, is certainly God’s enemy [Koran 2:98]”. Not just God should be given all respect and reverence, but also His servants. To blaspheme, offend or be envious toward the servant of God is a direct offence to the master. One who understands the position of the gods as servants of God neither blasphemes nor offends them in anyway. Rather, one offers them all respect as dear servants of the Lord. “Those whom you call upon besides God are servants like you [Koran 7:194]”.”

“The aim of the Vedic system is to elevate one from a state of ignorance to a state of pure goodness. Ignorance is opposed to goodness. In ignorance, affected by lust, hate and greed, one becomes illusioned. An illusioned man cannot understand what is what. Instead of advancing in spiritual revelation, one becomes more and more degraded. In ignorance, one does not possess perfect wisdom nor does he know what real enjoyment is. Bewildered by his passions, one strives for pleasure that results in suffering. Only in goodness one is able to see things as they are for one’s true benefit.”

“Hearing God’s message is imperative when one inquires about subject matter beyond the purview of one’s limited senses and power of reason.”
Rasamandala Das, ISLAM And The VEDAS
“For instance, Vedic knowledge was imparted to Brahmä through oral reception. Indeed, Brahmä received the knowledge directly from the Supreme Lord, who then instructed it to his son Närada, whose realizations appear throughout Vedic literature. And Närada instructed it to His disciple, the sage Vyäsadeva. Thus, the message of Vedic literature descends through a chain of disciplic succession that is still present today. Formerly Vedic scripture came down by word of mouth from teachers to their disciples, but thousands of years ago, the sage Vyäsadeva compiled all the Vedic scriptures in written form.”

“The Vedas are directly manifested from the infallible Supreme Lord [Bg. 3:15]”. Since human beings are limited and imperfect, their perception, theories, and speculations cannot be perfect. The Vedic process of learning is to receive knowledge by hearing from the highest authority, which is coming directly from God and handed down without change through the chain of disciplic succession of spiritual teachers.”

“The path of renunciation is superior for it leads to the Kingdom of God, where there is no labor, no stress, no frustration, no fear, and no death.”
Rasamandala Das, ISLAM And The VEDAS
“Many animals are herbivores, they don’t eat meat. Human beings have the superior intelligence to understand that all the varieties of foodstuffs that are available to him are the most merciful arrangement of God. One who takes his food, without first acknowledging that it is God who supplies all our necessities of life, eats only sin. As blood and flesh does not reach Allah [Koran 22:37], all scriptures of the world recommend that vegetarian foodstuffs should be offered to God. “If one offers Me with love and devotion a leaf, a flower, fruit or water, I will accept it [Bg. 9:26]”.”

“The real friend or companion is the Lord, who is situated within the heart. It is only He who can give real happiness. The Lord is so kind that He patiently sits in the heart, trying to guide the conditioned soul to come back to Him. Certainly no material friend would remain with his foolish companion for a life time.”
Rasamandala Das, ISLAM And The VEDAS
“Ultimately, the fruit of all material endeavors is death, but the soul foolishly thinks that it will bring him everlasting happiness.”
Rasamandala Das, ISLAM And The VEDAS
“The Lord asked Adam to not approach the tree otherwise he will run into transgression. By approaching the tree, Adam sowed the seeds for his own suffering. The cause of the distress is forgetfulness of one’s relationship with God. The cause of happiness is to know God to be the supreme. Every living entity is intended to abide by the dictation of God. When the mind is misled, one becomes entangled. For instance, one thinks that he can be happy if he has a very nice car. When the car is smashed in a collision, the mind suffers, and through the mind one suffers. Therefore, Adam’s distress and happiness is due to his mind not to his soul. It is the mind that creates all these different conditioning.”

“For one who is too busy with worldly pursuits, it is difficult to understand the Supreme Lord. Genuine inquiry to understand God is beyond fruitive activities, for the sole aim is no longer the achievement of earthly and heavenly happiness. To understand the Lord, one has to first know the difference between matter and spirit.”
Rasamandala Das, ISLAM And The VEDAS
“In material consciousness, one’s love is limited. But in spiritual consciousness, one develops a universal affection for all beings. One sees that everyone is eternally related to God.”
Rasamandala Das, ISLAM And The VEDAS
“As the Lord blessed Arjuna with knowledge of detachment similarly Abraham received such knowledge of the soul. This knowledge was able to free Abraham and his family from the misconception that arises from attachment to belonging to a certain family, a religion or nation.”
Rasamandala Das, ISLAM And The VEDAS
“If one acts for the pleasure of God, one will be satisfied with whatever He ordains. If, on the other hand, there is any self-seeking, one will be troubled and the weight of that hankering will pull him down.”
Rasamandala Das, ISLAM And The VEDAS
“According to the Vedic system, the worship of the gods is not considered idol worship if it takes into account that God is the Supreme Master of the gods. The worship of the gods is unauthorized if it does not consider the subordinate position of the gods in relationship to the Lord and if it does not follow the regulations given in the Vedic texts.”
Rasamandala Das, ISLAM And The VEDAS
“Material desires delude one’s consciousness. One is unable to deeply understand his relationship with God. Being liberal, Vedic literatures do recommend worship of the gods in some places for the gradual upliftment of those who are still too materially attached. “Men in this world desire success in fruitive activities, and therefore they worship gods. Quickly, of course, men get results from fruitive work in this world [Bg.4:12]”.”
Rasamandala Das, ISLAM And The VEDAS
“Misguided and blinded by their material desires, the heavenly worshippers do not know how to reach the Supreme Lord.”
Rasamandala Das, ISLAM And The VEDAS
“Material desires are like restless and discontented children who are never satisfied.”
Rasamandala Das, ISLAM And The VEDAS
“People desire to be promoted to the heavenly planets because they have no information about the Supreme Lord and His eternal kingdom. Although many scriptures mention the Lord and His abode, due to material desires, the soul’s understanding about God is obscured. Clouded, the intelligence has less power to receive real knowledge about the Lord. As clouds darken the sky and obscure the bright sun from shining; as a dusty mirror cannot reflect a clear image; and as muddy water cannot reflect the visage of one that looks at it, material desires cloud the memory, mind and intelligence.”
Rasamandala Das, ISLAM And The VEDAS
“Man seeks God according to his state of mind. Some expects material reward from the Lord in the form of achievement of material gain. Others worship God to get relieve from material miseries in the form of sickness, poverty and death. “When trouble touches a man, he cries unto Us. When We solve his trouble, he passes on his way as if he had never cried to Us [Koran 10:12]”. When a person is beyond material pain and gain, he engages in God’s service without aspiring for any personal benefit.”
Rasamandala Das, ISLAM And The VEDAS
“To worship the Lord out of fear of material miseries or out of desire for material gain is not a pure level of worship. A person who takes to religious activities for material gain will never be able to understand God. Even a person who is not greedy for material possessions but attached to improving his material situation cannot deeply appreciate the Lord. Only the worship out of genuine attraction is a real worship.”
Rasamandala Das, ISLAM And The VEDAS
“Human society is meant to develop a culture that satisfies the needs of the soul. Under material illusion grand civilizations collapsed due to a vacuum of spiritual values. A civilization detached from God is just like a separated hand or leg being detached from the whole body.”
Rasamandala Das, ISLAM And The VEDAS
“The misguided materialist does not know that his very body is impermanent and that the attractions of home, land and wealth, which are in relationship to that body, are also temporary. Out of ignorance only, he thinks that everything is permanent [SB 3.30.4]”. “O you, who believe, let not your riches and your children divert you from the remembrance of Allah [Koran 63:9]”.”
Rasamandala Das, ISLAM And The VEDAS
“Whatever is produced by the materialist with great pain and labor for so-called happiness, the Supreme Lord, as the time factor, destroys, and for this reason the conditioned soul laments [SB 3.30.2]”.”
Rasamandala Das, ISLAM And The VEDAS
“In time, trees grow, branches develop, flowers blossom and fruits appear and then the tree dwindles and dies. Similarly, human beings are born, perform their different activities, reap the results and die. In the past, many great civilizations established prospering kingdoms and their accomplishments were vanquished in due course of time. However, many great saintly persons in the past exhibited wonderful godly character and their qualities and exemplary actions still inspire people today.”
Rasamandala Das, ISLAM And The VEDAS
“There is no need to be very sophisticated in temporary engagement. All such grand temporary deeds, although perhaps very important for temporary life, have nothing to do with eternal life. Therefore, sanätana-dharma does not refer to any process of religion. It is the eternal function of the soul in relationship with the Supreme Lord. As liquidity cannot be taken from water, heat cannot be taken from fire. Similarly, the eternal function of the soul to please the Lord is inherent in every living entity.”
