Expecting to See Jesus Quotes Showing 1-3 of 3
“Stop resisting Him. Stop resenting Him. Stop complaining. Stop feeling sorry for yourself. Stop demanding what you want. Stop focusing on the outer wrappings of yourself and your circumstances. Adjust your attitude. Change your mind about things — about yourself— about others — about Him. Relax in total trust. He knows what He’s doing. Unwrap the package! Let go, and look up! Let Him open the eyes of your heart. OPEN YOUR EYES!”
Anne Graham Lotz, Expecting to See Jesus: A Wake-Up Call for God's People
“This concept of a storm containing a message from God is clearly illustrated in the life of another Old Testament prophet, Ezekiel. Ezekiel had been taken captive by King Nebuchadnezzar of Babylon, then discarded to live in a refugee camp. While sitting beside a dirty irrigation canal in Babylon, Ezekiel related that, “I looked, and I saw a windstorm coming out of the north — an immense cloud with flashing lightning and surrounded by brilliant light And in the fire was what looked like four living creatures.”1 His testimony goes on to describe the unique message from God that was brought to him on the wings of that storm. Without question, the attack on America on September 11, 2001, was a storm that had international, national, and personal impact. I believe contained in that storm were messages from God, one of which was for the church in America. The message seemed loud and clear: It’s time to get serious about your relationship with God, about a lost and dying world that’s going to hell apart from faith in Christ, about the gospel, and about the hope of heaven and eternal life. I truly believe that was God’s message in the storm. But I don’t think God’s people, generally speaking, got it. Not yet — because our hearts are asleep. Sometimes we need to be shaken awake.”

“You’ll know your heart’s been set aflame by the fire of revival when nothing else matters to you as much as He does — and your love for Him.”
