“Listen, I don’t mean to be too direct, but did you know that Jesus died and rose from the dead so that all of your sins could be completely forgiven?”

“*The Dead Sea Scrolls. These were copies of the Old Testament books found in an area called Qumran. It’s located at the northern end of the Dead Sea. Since these were copies of the Old Testament from before Jesus was born, we know the prophecies about Him weren’t “written in” later: Isaiah 7:14—The Messiah will be born of a virgin. Isaiah 53—The Messiah will have the iniquity of us all laid on Him, and he will take the sin punishment for His people. Daniel 9:24–27—Daniel predicts, to the exact day, when Jesus will ride into Jerusalem (as Messiah the Prince) and then die. Daniel claims that this will happen exactly 483 years after the command to rebuild Jerusalem was given. Check it out for yourself. Micah 5:2—The Messiah will be born in Bethlehem. Genesis 49:10—The Messiah will be from the tribe of Judah. 2 Samuel 7:12—The Messiah will be related to King David. Psalm 22:16—The Messiah will be pierced in His hands and feet. Zechariah 9:9—The Messiah will come into Jerusalem while riding on a donkey.”

“*There are 6,000 manuscripts of the New Testament books in the original language. This is more than any other book in ancient history. Also, the copies we have of the originals are earlier than any other book in ancient history.12 * The authors of the New Testament books were eyewitnesses to Jesus of Nazareth. *All the copies of those books say 99 percent the same thing. The small percentage of difference is mostly in punctuation or differences in the way things were written in Greek. *All the Apostles were murdered for their faith in Jesus. Just to make this point as heavy as possible: it was faith in a first-century Jewish man who claimed to be God whom they saw rise from the dead, and who fulfilled prophecies about Himself written hundreds of years before He was physically born. If it’s fake, then it sounds like hundreds of people were insane at the same time about the same person. People don’t usually hallucinate well in groups. *Where’s His body? Jesus of Nazareth is one of the most famous people who has ever walked the earth. One of the main tenets of His followers is that He physically rose from the dead. If this didn’t happen, where is His body? It would have been pretty easy for the Roman or Jewish leaders to squash this hoax. All they had to do was go and get Him out of the grave and show Him to everyone!”

“1. What do you think about the afterlife? 2. Well, how does God decide who goes where when we die? 3. Suggest the answer to them. Since God decides on our final destination through an innocent or guilty verdict, are you guilty right now? Look at the Ten Commandments with them. 4. Since you’re guilty (just like I used to be), do you know the one specific thing God did to offer you a clean sin record and eternal life? 5. Since Jesus died and rose from the dead, and based on that alone, you can be completely forgiven of all your sin. You need to repent of your sin and put your trust in Jesus for the forgiveness of your sin. I had to do it too. Then, you’ll have eternal life, an innocent record with God, and a new heart with new desires. You’ll never be judged for your sin again.”

“A few years ago, someone did an estimate of all the churches in a southern state here in the United States. The estimate went something like this: if all the current church buildings were filled to capacity, they would house less than 10 percent of the population there. Now, is it great that there are churches full of thousands of people? Yes. But do the math. If we really want to reach all the people we can for Jesus… They won’t all fit in our buildings! This means that they can’t all meet Jesus by coming to a church service. We just might have to share the gospel at other places and times.”
