I have now finished the first novel of this two-novel book: Unlike the very intimate and fast-read 'Night by Elie Wiesel', which I strongly recommend, this account of a concentration camp survivor gave me an insight into the everyday life of the 'haftling' (prisoner). It is eye-opening, shocking, detailed. If you want more detail, more information, then this is the book to read.
