i found it very difficult to get into wuthering heights, particularly the first few chapters up until lockwood returned thrushcross grange; now, i am finding the book rather enjoyable, especially in the recount of dean’s time in wuthering heights. it certainly gives more depth to the characters introduced in the beginning of the book; an understanding of how they have gotten to be the people lockwood came to meet.
