What the heck was that?

This "never return" ending makes me wonder about the sequel to this book, Return to Atlantis.

At least we survived the whirlpool. But...if we're looking for Atlantis, why wouldn't the researchers believe this story?

Now I wish there were a Choose Your Own Adventure about undersea farming.
