Working through this slowly because I’m actually annotating it! There’s something about this story that just sneaks up on you. And before you know it, you can’t stop reading. It’s heartbreaking. All the more heartbreaking because of how realistic these human experiences are. My heart aches. And most of us have been both Marianne and Connell at some point in our lives.
