The random using of last names is annoying. Throwing characters around and expecting us to know them is annoying.

But the rest of story is good.

She is good at creating characters I hate. But that's not necessarily a good thing when they are just squamates who are annoying and are a bit one-dimensional.

One annoyance is the introduction of characters fast and never mentioned again for half the book. And I'm supposed to remember who they were immediately.
