I am having major issues accepting the foundational premise of this novel, that the FMC, who is on the autism spectrum, and typically socially awkward, would have had any relationship whatsoever with her ex. There is no way, with his casually cruel, narcissistic personality, and his emphasis on being popular, that he would have chosen her as a girlfriend for 2 minutes, let alone 2 whole years.
