Okay so this is the point where Rin becomes abruptly annoying to me. SO MANY amazing ideas have been discussed within the last 50 pages but it all culminates in, once again, a person wanting nothing more than power no questions asked. I hate thattt I want her to question power itself like she’s questioned everything else. I hope there’s some good character development coming

Okay the end to that chapter has done nothing to convince me otherwise than that Rin is at LEAST a little bit gay. Laying eyes upon a beautiful woman and instantly being in a daze, comparing it to drowning but “if this was drowning she didn’t want air”, and realizing that your life’s purpose is to serve this woman. She wants to “tear apart kingdoms for this woman.” Yeah I’m calling it

Interesting writing style…?? First few pages had me reeling with the very not-abstract use of show and tell (I’ve been hyperfixating on show vs tell for the past year in my own writing so I can’t help but analyze all writing in that same way) (my word choice is a bit dramatic I know). But now I’m more used to it and it’s kind of refreshing in a way.. maybe. Oh & plot is interesting but not really hooked yet
