"...with the result of which he trusted he had every reason to be satisfied, since the refusal which his cousin had steadfastly given him would naturally flow from her bashful modesty and the genuine delicacy of her character." - proves how much Mr. Collins knows nothing of Elizabeth's character

It doesn't bother me that Lydia ran off to elope, as I'm a free thinking woman - it wouldn't bother me if she became a prostitute. What bothers me is she ran off without giving proper details of her wareabouts, and that when she comes back she thinks she's top dog among the sisters just because she's married

I think I like this book so much because Elizabeth is relatable.

"The death of your daughter would have been a blessing in comparison to this." 'This' being Lydia running off to elope. Extreme evidence to show exactly how old this novel is.

I still can't believe how ridiculously self centred and dramatic Mrs. Bennet is. I only hope Mr. Darcy doesn't let this bother him again - although right now I could hardly blame him!

I didn't think a letter could alter my view so wildly, but it has.

Just the fact that he was waiting in the grove for her makes my heart swell
