I’m past due to get to this fairly famous collection of stories, because it is on a “100 Best Horror Books” list I have been using, since about 1988. First, this book was hard to get, and pricey. Then, it came back into print, but despite the high average rating around these here parts, some negative comments by people I respect suggest a book that has not aged well, maybe in the extreme. I do need to get this read.

I tell ya - I ain’t too enthusiastic about this collection, despite its status; it been gettin’ its knocks recently, from a few people I’m connected to at the website. We’ll see, in my case, if this turns into a full-on Dangerous Visions situation, total loathing and disillusionment. What’s wrong with these stories? All? Some? I’ve read ‘Sticks’ twice, may skip it. This is part of my Stuck in the 70s reading jag.
