My favorite book that I have read this year is The Selection, including the series that follows it. This is my favorite book from this past year because it can relate to one of my favorite shows, The Bachelor. I also really like this book because is a spin off of a typical love story, and I liked that Maxon and America's relationship was different, making the book more intriguing to the reader.

All the Bright Places can compare to the Duff because in both books, someone doesn't believe that they fit in, but eventually they believe that they do. In both of these stories, the main characters are in high school. Since the main characters are in high school, both of the books show how they mature and change their perspectives on life. Both of the stories also come from the main characters' perspectives.

If I could interview any character from this book, I would interview Violet. I would interview her because I would want to ask her what she thinks of Theo because even though we see some of the book from her perspective, we don't get to see what she feels. I think that she would say that Theodore Finch creeps her out a little bit because all of a sudden he knows so much about her while she is in a downward spiral.

In the past week, I learned about the characters Violet and Finch. I learned that Violet's sister Eleanor passed away and Violet was having a very hard time doing anything because it always reminded her of Eleanor. I also learned that Finch felt like he had to end his life because he was always looked at as "Theodore Freak" and nobody at school liked him. I also learned that Violet was becoming less popular.
