I don't understand Vedan's reasoning. Will he get Bella to poison Kham, and keep her barren? I know he doesn't want a heir, but he also knows about the "death sentence" that is Mercy of the mountains. If Kham remained childless, she'd "die" and one of his precious daughters would have to take her place, where she could meet the same fate. Why not marry them off to Wynter in the 1st place?

Love the heroine. Instead of just relegating herself to being a womb, she is proactive and independent in thought. Thumbs up.

Literal pathetic fallacy. Ha. By that I mean the weather mirrors Kham's mood. She controls it. Exciting chemistry between the Winter King and Kham *rubs hands*

Oh man. You know a book is good when a character dies in the opening chapters and it captures you straight in the feels. I hope this book can keep it up. It's a long one all right.
