My favorite book that I have read this year is the Book Theif, for many reasons. One reason is because the book is so descriptive and enticing, I couldn't put it down each time I picked it up. Another reason is because the characters were so colorful and overall fantastic. I think my favorite chapter in the book was the first time Liesel went into the mayor's wife's library, and it was such a great moment for Liesel.

The character relationships in this book are similar to some in The Book Theif. The relationships between Prospero and his subjects is somewhat friendly, but he overall has complete power over them. In The Book Theif, the relationship between Rudy and Liesel is similar. While Rudy and Leisel are good friends and seem to be equals, most of the time one has the leadership role and power over the other.
