After about 250 pages of reading The Book Thief, I have decided to stop reading. The book has taken a long time to read because of all of the details and historical background it has. I was not too interested with the book which also made it harder to focus when reading. Even though I really enjoyed the writers style, the topic did not grab my attention enough.

Death reveals that Rudy will die in two years. This is disappointing because I really like Rudy's character. Also, Rudy is Liesel's very good friend and she has already experiences a lot of lose in her life. It is sad that she will have to deal with this too.

Max makes Liesel a book for her birthday call the Standover Man. The book shows all of the people that stood over Max in his life. Liesel is in this book because she helps him get through his nightmares and sleep. F

Liesel and Max both have nightmares and have trouble sleeping. I think that the two will talk about their nightmares and become friends. I

Kristallnacht- "On this night, November 9, 1938, almost 200 synagogues were destroyed, over 8,000 Jewish shops were sacked and looted, and tens of thousands of Jews were removed to concentration camps." V

I think Max will come to the Liesel's house once he gets off the rain and ask to stay. 'I'

Liesel and Rudy join a group of kids to steal food from farms in their town. I think if they continue to do this, one day the owner of the farm will catch the kids and make them pay for what they have been stealing. 'I'

"2. Reading on the floor of the mayor's library." I think the next book Liesel is going to steal is going to be from the mayor's library.
