Took a long break from this book but I still understand what’s happening which is good

Finished Novel VI: it was really interesting read someone else’s perspective on personal and academic pursuits that I’ve also taken lately, but that’s just by pure coincidence

Finished Novel V: the meeting between Asle and Ales was so disappointing, I was expecting a much greater love story. I also feel like we’re gearing up for a sad ending

Novel IV was by far my least favorite but the character development at the end was intriguing and I’m looking forward to seeing more of it.

Did it take me 3 novels to be 100% sure I knew what was happening? Yes, but now I can’t put it down. Maybe his writing style changed when he started I Is Another his writing style changed? Either way, now that Asle has reached a relatable period in his life I find it much more enjoyable to read.

Finished Novel II! Starting to see the continuity between the novels. Also learned about the personal and artistic motivations for the other Asle, which explains a lot.

So clever, but also leaves me confused. I learned a lot about how Christianity (aka literally any other religious perspective than mine) can influence a person’s values and life decisions. I’ve come to like the run-on sentence structure because it makes the book harder to put down, and it’s interesting to read about thoughts rather than action. Plus the plot picked up closer to the end of the first novel.

I should’ve opened the book before I spent $25 (of my mom’s money) on it bc the whole book is the just one run-on sentence, but so far I’m following and I like the world building
