Oh my gosh, I started the book without reading the blurb. So there I was, barely into chapter one, thinking Laurent was the FMC, only for the real FMC to pop in at the end like, 'Hey, wrong guess!' Lesson learned: read the blurb, or risk being confused five minutes into a book.
