I’m usually not a person who likes to read more than two books at a time but this was a book I bought last year and never read it. Now it’s been assigned for one of my classes this semester so I’m finally starting it!!

I love the insight into the blues and Black womens’ objection to American heterosexual & patriarchal expectations post-slavery and pre-modern feminism. I’m excited to dive in & learn more!
