Great book so far. Love David Byrne as a musician and a filmmaker, but he proves to be quite an academic through this too… I never knew the 3 1/2 minute song came to be through the technological limitations of a 45 RPM record, or how tape recording (and therefore cassettes) only exist because Bing Crosby wanted to play golf instead of singing for the radio. Give it a shot if you like music at all, it’s expansive!
