im enjoying the read so far but the further i get into the book and the more the severity of situations begins to climb, the more i remember the warning of my partners younger sibling about the author and the harder it is to simply enjoy the book for what it is. my partner suggested i create a bingo card of all the terrible things that can happen to a person, collecting a space every time im able to find a match.

It wouldnt be a great and horrible tragedy if someone wasnt addicted to meth.

The author uses a lot of parentheses and asides in her writing which is getting a bit annoying but other than that, I do find it enjoyable so far. I'm in the midst of Jude's story right now and I'm curious to see if she will continue with having these really long sentences kept alive with commas and colons etc throughout the other characters story or if this style of writing is particular to Jude's story.
