So Tom finds his deceased fathers copy of "the Catcher in the rye" and several conspiricies happen throughout the book. Then the book throws that plotline away for a while so it could focus on on Tom hooking up with girls and getting handjobs from them.

The Book is about our main character, Tom Henderson, who is a very unpopular kid in school whos best friend, Sam Hellerman, is also unpopular and they start a band together. We also learn that Toms father is dead and that the school he goes to is very dysfunctional and has many issues with its teaching rubric and the teachers themselves.
