In the book, Katniss is in the Games by now. She is working with Rue to stay alive and win. She feels betrayed by Peeta who has teamed up with the Careers, but little does he know they are just using him to kill Katniss.

I would not want to be a character in this book. The dystopia they live in is very unfair and has corrupt leaders. I would not want to have the risk of being in the Hunger Games because it would be very intense and scary and I would probably lose. The society they live in is very frightening and unbalanced, so I would not want to be a character in this book.

So far in the book, Suzanne Collins has described the main characters of the book. Then, the reaping took place for The Hunger Games. Primrose was chosen and then her sister, Katniss, volunteered to take her spot so that little Prim wouldn't have to be a part of the horrible games. Katniss did this to protect her sister.
