My favorite book that I have read this year was definetly The Martian. The Martian was an awesome book and was very enjoyable to read. It was interesting to read about Mark Watney being left on the moon and having to survive by himself. He had to make his own food and shelter on a planet that had no life on it (as far as we know). Reading about Mark's change in life on how he does things was very interesting.

The book that I am reading right now is similar to a book that I have read called The Martian. They are both similar because both of the main characters develop in the books. Katniss was a shy woman and when placed in the battle arena, she developed into a warrior that would kill when needed. Mark Watney is a typical astronaut that developed into a hero when he was left behind on Mars and had to survive by himself.

If I had the opportunity to interview any character from the novel, I would want to interview Katniss. Katniss is the most involved character and we have seen her change through the Hunger Games series. I would ask her, "What event during the hunger games battles, was a changing point for you." She would say that the end of the very first battle was a changing point because it showed how strong and smart she was.

I have just started the Mockingjay book, the 3rd book in the Hunger Games series. Katniss is back again with her incredible agility and thinking of what is to come. We are still in the a battle that involves everyone killing eachother but they have made it a lot more challenging. They talk about how District 12 has been destroyed and that District 13 is taking it over. Katniss was on district 12 but not anymore.
