I have to give this back for now but it’s been a total delight so far. I’m genuinely so happy these are back in the general reading population once again.

Truly one of the best things about this comic so far is Cobra Commander screaming at people about the Mangiot Line

It’s crazy to me that Duke didn’t show up until like issue #22 and that half this series is a workplace comedy set inside Cobra/Springfield.

“Silent Interlude” is still a goddamn perfect comic book. And it rules even more that it’s just as much a Scarlett story as it is a Snake Eyes story. It’s just everything I love in one 24 pages.

Back on my bullshit with #20 and it’s crazy just how well this comic keeps escalating.

Massively funny to me that Shooter’s Marvel went to Hama and were like, “Toy comics, Larry! Whatta got?!” And he replied with “Semi-serialized action fables about homegrown terrorism, the tolls it takes in the fanatic’s family, disarmament, and the positive highlighting of characters of color/indigenous cultures” and JSwent, “…I guess?” And then they saw sales reports and never said anything again.
