I know like conflict needs to be part of a relationship for it to be interesting if the series is like primarily about the relationship but I literally just find the conflict so annoying. I don’t even care. (I think I just don’t like fantasy romance 😭)

SPOILERS: I guess Aren’s character is being a whiny asshole? don’t know maybe I have weird standards but not cool…also I really don’t like the resolution to this. Why are we taking away the moral complexity when we’re only halfway through the book??? Lara was already like massively leaning towards the Ithacanian’s side…what’s the point of removing all the real conflict… I don’t get it???

Every time you think they’re going to be all romantic or something they start talking about the bridge again and I find that really unintentionally funny, I know it’s thematic and such though

This really reads like a YA but randomly they’ll describe characters being all turned on so I’m really wondering what is this going to be??? Also this is a fun read, not that deep, but it’s fun enough. I don’t care for romance, so my standards aren’t high.
