Completely overestimated my proficiency in reading Italian. Took me an hour to finish 10 pages. Dictionary perpetually opened. Looking up the same word multiple times because I keep forgetting what "ormai" means (I've even forgotten it now). Now I know many different words for corpse, though. Besides the obvious language barrier issues, I'm enjoying it! Simultaneously medieval and postmodern.
