The Adventure of the Veiled Lodger is another example of a Sherlock story in which there is no mystery solved and rather someone telling Holmes their odd story.

The Adventure of the Retired Colourman was easily guess by my dad.
Spoiler: don’t try to cover up blood or gas smell with paint, especially green. That’s so obvious!

The Adventure of the Blanched Solder: LEPROSY! No, it’s sort of leprosy and curable.
Moral of the story and the jaw disease I had: get a second, or third, opinion.

The Adventure of the Three Gables felt pretty easy to solve. When you think of THE Sherlock Holmes, you expect complex and exciting mysteries, but most of the time they are simple or so confusing you could never have guessed the surprise in the worst way.

I’ve noticed that many of these stories talk about a dark underworld but are very PG-13.

The Adventure of the Sussex Vampire was memorable, which is more than I can say about many of the other Sherlock stories.

She really went through a lot of trouble.

So far, these short stories are not impressing.
