Yep- the annual reread. I’m also planing on reading South straight after, and I need some much needed endurance myself.

This book is such a treasure and a remarkable show of courage and strength when all seems lost. An encouraging and fortifying read. If it was me I would having taken a long walk as soon as the ship fell through the ice.

I love this book and my fifth reading.
