If I was Louie I would be thinking i am going to die. “The castaways’ bodies were declining. They drank the last of their water and were intensely thirsty and hungry"(pg.278) Louoe must be thinking that he wants euthanasia done to him from the other castaways. I'm exited to find out.

I am worried for Louie and his friends because they woke up in a life raft. “Louie woke with the sun. Mac lay beside him. Phil lay in his raft, his mind still fumbling. Only the sharks stirred.” Especially being sharks around them I would be beyond frightened. I'm exited/nervous to find out what happens next.

Everything must be really scary for Louie.“Louie heard a voice. He turned and saw Phil and Mac, far away, clinging to debris. Blood spouted in arcs from Phil’s head and streamed down his face." I hope they end up ok.

I really admire that even though Louie's life changed by going into the army , he still continues to do his passion. Running. “He pulled on his workout clothes, hiked to the runway, and began his morning mile run." This taught me that even when something big changes in your life, you can still find your passion and do it.

I feel really bad for Louie and his friend Phil because they just got back from this long agonizing battle and they are depressed. "Back on Hawaii, Louie and Phil sank into depression. With a gutted crew and no plane, they were grounded. I can't wait to find out what happens next. (Pg136)

I can't even imagine what is going on inside of Louie and the other marines heads at that moment. I am very nervous but extremely exited to find out what happens next. (PART 2)

Louie was enlisted in the US Air Force to help the fight in world war 2. I was so scared when Louie was on the base with other marines when a Japanese plane was spotted. “There was a siren and distant gunfire. Then a marine ran by, screaming, “Air raid!” (PART1)

I feel so bad for Louie because when he finds out his best friend in the Air Force died after being treated after the battle of Nauru. I feel like Louie will be heartbroken. "Harold Brooks died days before his twenty-third birthday." I am nervous to find out how this effects Louie and also how this tragic moment will affect his future.

I really like Louie's character at the moment, he is full of changes about himself. "In the summer of 1932 , Louie almost did nothing but run" (pg.42). I find this weird because at first, Louie was the one who was against running at all. I am very curious to find out what changed Louie's mind!
