Genuinely ended a story thinking "what are you even talking about?"
the last few stories have this writing style where everything has a "big" fancy descriptor word in front of it. It makes me unable to tell what the point of the words on the page mean, like I'm doubting my ability to even read because I really couldn't make sense of what exactly I was supposed to be understanding.

I never fully enjoy short story collections idk why I keep reading them

Genuinely attempting to read again after having a bad year.
I chose this because I thought a collection of short stories would be best to ease me back into reading.

The first story takes place on January 1st, what a coincidence, that's when I read it.
