there seems to be a theme of dealing with regret and how to handle your emotions with regret. unlike the last story the wife does seem to receive closure when she does see apollo one last time.

it’s interesting how this father wanted to go back in time to resolve his regrets with his wife with the hope of changing the timeline. he ends up resolving his regrets and might’ve gotten his hopes up with it changing the outcome and comes back maybe regretting that it hasn’t changed the timeline.
