Once again, Ruta hosted me to a period in history with which I was unfamiliar. Her stories are engaging, entertaining, as well as educational. Fountains of Silence gave a voice to the generations who were opressed by Franco's political regime. As always, I feel as if I have learned so much through Ruta's novel. The perfect read for any history lover!
