Darrow is the most annoying protagonist in all of literature. He makes Holden Caulfield look like a chill guy you’d want to get a beer with. He’s smarter, better, funnier than every other person in the universe and he’s convinced to let you know about it. He will not rest until everyone is sucking is big fat schlong. I keep reading in the hopes that on page 158 someone will lethally shoot Darrow with a gun 🙂
