I am currently reading the book GirlBoss. When Sophia's company reached a net value of $50 million, she was offered 100 million if gave up all claims. She declined the offer and hired another 100 employees. When everything was looking up the business started getting slow. Soon sales stopped going up and stayed the same for three weeks. However a famous model wore a new style and they sold out of that style.

Sophia is the CEO of the multimillion dollar company, Nasty Girl. Since the start of her company she has become more mature and hardworking. When Nasty Girl started becoming popular she had to deal with large shipments and moving in bigger spaces because of equipment. Other events like getting married and becoming pregnant have influenced her growth as a person. In just 7 years Sophia has become a whole new person.

The novel GirlBoss is about a 20 year old named Sophia who started a company now worth $250 million. I choose this book because when I grow up I want to be successful and independent like she is, not needing to rely on anyone. This book has made me become a stronger reader because it's a new type of genre I'm not used to. The stories I usually read are fictional. However I want to read more like this in the future.

Everyone thought her dream life was handed to her on a silver platter. However most people don't realize what she gave up for her company and what she went through. When you first open the book she explains that in life things will never work out unless you make it.
