Lucy should learn from Elizabeth Bennet's (Pride and Prejudice) mistake. And not assume and judge unfairly.

I read up to Chapter 7. I think there is something more to the butcher's boy. I wonder if there is a connection between him and the mysterious Thomas, who I think is Orpheus. I so want Lucy to change her mind about Sussex, but I think there is a ways to go there.
I also wonder if Elizabeth's book will be sad since Alynwick is supposed to be her hero. I think there will be a big reason why he cast her aside and didn't mention the prearranged marriage and I want to know why it never happened... I suspect that he did want Elizabeth over this arranged marriage, and that the loss of that option turned him into a cold man.
Where are you, and what do you think of it, my dear?
I just finished Chapter 14. I haven't been able to put this down!! I also think the same about the butcher's son. How sad that something like class could rip people apart. You know I started this book not liking Lucy that much, and now, I just see a kindred spirit in her, she is so lonely, so broken that she won't let herself feel anything though she desperately wants to. So sad for her.
I am LOVING the view into Alynwick and Lizzy!! OMG there is a scene there that I didn't scene there that I didn't see coming. Their book is going to be pure FIRE!!!!! I think he may have told her all those horrible things to force her to get over him, because he knew he had no way out of that marriage. I CANNOT WAIT for their book.
Let me tell you Aly, I think I am liking this as much or even more than Black's book, they just keep getting better. The Duke of Deliciousness?! You can say that again! I am wiping the drool off of my chin, THANKYOUVERYMUCH. No one writes passion like Charlotte does.
Oh I am so glad you are liking it! I haven't had much of a chance to read this in the past two days, I hope I can catch up to you! Alynwick & Lizzy's book is supposed to be the steamiest. I agree with you about him saying terrible things to get over him.
I can't wait till I see Duke of Deliciousness mentioned! :)
